Because we're planning to introduce a workflow enhancement, we'd like to made it as so usable and easy as we can on concordance with end users needs, because the workflow management on dms could be so simply or very complex.

We open this discussion about which general issues must have and which ones more specific are desired:

GENERAL ISSUES:
1- Task definitions ( general for all users and only administration level )

2- User assign a task to other user (manual assignament ), description on task mail notification.

3- Document only pass to several states, not has a workflow diagram assigned at start, end users always pass to next task status.

4- Board information about documents assigned to a users ( loged user ).

OTHER INTERESTING ISSUES:
1- Automatic user asignation ( here must be some heuristic to made it, which could be easy and better ? ).

2- Documents has a workflow diagram ( states ) and assignation states process is internally controled ( not all on end user hand ).

3- Reasign a document to other user.


This description only wants to be, the startup discussion with more simple elements we can think. Our objective is to determine if users needs complex workflow solutions or some more easiest. We think that easier normally is more usable, but we want to know your opinions about your needs.
