You've made a very nice piece of software!
I have a question, is it possible to configure OpenKM to access i's repository via resource adapter as described in Model 2 in this document http://jackrabbit.apache.org/deployment-models.html?

To my understanding then it will be possible to (re)use other available application to add new functionality. Idea was to get webdav protocol using jackrabbit "Simple Webdav Server".

Ye, it should be fine. We have just finished the integration with WebDAV in OpenKM Professional. It is really easy to get OpenKM running with Resuource Adaptor, but WebDAV integration is a bit more complex because we use custom node types.
